I love digging around in my butcher's frozen sausage freezer. You can find all sorts of sausage ranging from Hungarian sausage to duck sausage to the basic polish sausage. The polish sausage is my favorite. It is simple, has a great taste, and you can tell it is made from the local sausage company because it has a flavor that can't be found in the local grocery store.
Here's what you'll need:
Roll
Polish Sausage (preferably a quality sausage like the ones you'll find at Roma)
I went with Magic Hat as my beer of choice for grilling these sausage links. Very tasty!
This is one of those pages that's really only here to share my photos with you. It's pretty straightforward to grill a sausage. If you're not sure how just stick with a medium to medium low heat. Place the sausage over direct heat, let it brown on one side and then roll it to the other side. I prefer medium to medium low heat because it ensures you will fully cook the sausage. If you cook sausage on a charcoal grill over high heat its very easy to brown the exterior and leave the inside raw. With medium heat it takes longer to brown the outside which allows the inside to heat up better.
As you can see I grilled french fries along with my sausages.
I wasn't feeling very fancy tonight so I didn't toast my roll. It was actually quite refreshing to enjoy the plain sausage on a really soft fresh roll.
