Homemade Batter Rolls – Perfect Side Dish to Grilled Turkey

White Scribbled Underline

FRANK CAMPANELLA'S

I've spent the last few years mastering the recipe and believe I've finally nailed it. This recipe has stolen the show at many Easter dinners. It is a light and fluffy roll with a nice butter flavor.

- Milk - Sugar - Salt - Butter - Water - Active dry yeast - Egg - Flour

Ingredients

Step 1

Measure ½ cup of warm water. Put 3 tsp active dry yeast into the cup.

Step 2

Sprinkle some sugar in there as well to get the yeast going. Yeast like sugar and they like it warm, so this will get the yeast ready for work in your batter.

Step 3

While the yeast is “proofing” put the butter, salt and sugar in a good sized bowl.

Step 4

Put a sauce pan on medium/medium high heat and pour the milk in. Keep stirring it until it starts to stick a bit to the bottom and sides.
