Homemade Cranberry Apple Chutney

The beauty of this recipe is that it can be made the night before and chilled so it’s ready for your dinner. Fresh cranberries combined with apple is such a fantastic combination.

- Fresh Cranberries - Apples - Hard Apple Cider or apple juice - Sugar - Raw Honey - Lemon Juice - Apple Cider Vinegar - Cinnamon Stick - Star Anise

Ingredients

Step 1

In a saucepan  sauté cook diced apples, cranberries, sugar, cinnamon stick and star anise.

Step 2

Once the cranberries begin to burst add the lemon juice, apple cider and cider vinegar.

Step 3

Reduce until chutney begins to thicken then remove from heat. Remove cinnamon stick and star anise then add honey.

Step 4

Stir every few minutes until chutney cools to room temperature then transfer to a container and refrigerate.
