Take the ground hot Italian sausage and press it into a small ¼ lb burger patty.
Spread some softened salted butter on the insides of the rolls and head out to the grill.
Grill the sausage burgers over direct heat until they are cooked.
While the burgers are grilling sit a small oiled pan directly over the heat and sauté the fresh chopped garlic.
After a few minutes flip the burgers and keep stirring around the garlic so it doesn't burn.
Place the buttered bread on the side of the grill that does not have the direct heat and spread some of the sautéed garlic all over top of the bread and leave the rolls garlic side up.
Place a piece of cheese directly on the cooked sausage burgers and top with about 2 tablespoons of your favorite pizza or marinara sauce.
Close the grill lid for about 5 minutes.
Once the rolls are toasty and the cheese is melted, slide two of the burgers on a roll and serve.
