About

Hello, I am Frank Campanella Owner of Grilling24x7.com. I created this page to share all of my favorite grilling and bbq recipes as well as any other tasty recipes I think you will enjoy. My love for cooking started as a kid cooking on Sundays with my father and grandfather at football tailgates.

There is nothing better than feeding a bunch of hungry football fans a huge spread of grilled meats before heading into the stadium to cheer on your team. Win or lose it was the food that I remember most from these tailgates.

In High School I started washing dishes at a restaurant working my way up to line cook. By the time I was 21 I took over as Executive chef of that same restaurant. Over the years I opened many different restaurants in the mid Atlantic featuring my love of grilled meat and seafood.

In 2015 Killing time before a Pearl Jam concert in Washington DC my friends and I went to a KCBS BBQ competition that was a few blocks from the arena. After seeing all of the teams smoking barbecue and hanging out I knew I wanted to start a competition team of my own.

 The next year my brother and I started Godfather BBQ and sig ned up for a competition. Though we didn't win any awards that day we were hooked. In the second competition we got our first call 5th place in pulled pork. Now we had a taste of victory and we wanted more.

Over the next 8 years our bbq team won multiple awards for our bbq. We took home awards in Ribs, Brisket, Chicken and pulled pork.

My love for all things Grilling and BBQ has taken me all over the country from the Carolinas to Texas eating bbq and meeting the most amazing pit masters around.

Today

In 2021 I wrote my second book " The Complete Guide To Grilling Steak" which you can pick up on Amazon. I never in a million years thought I would be a published author. Just ask my high school English teacher.

My passion for food and outdoor grilling now lives on this page dedicated to sharing recipes and helping home cooks become the best grillers on their block. Please feel free to reach out to me on this website or on social media and I will do my best to answer any cooking questions I can.
