Why You Need to Make Prosciutto Wrapped Peaches

As summer comes to an end, you may be looking for new recipes that help soak in those last moments of summer.

These prosciutto wrapped grilled peaches are a perfect, light appetizer to close out summer with.

The salty prosciutto mixed with the sweet, juicy peaches is a taste you didn’t know you needed to try.

For this appetizer, I served these peaches with a toasted baguette and served them over an arugula salad.

Ingredients for Prosciutto Wrapped Peaches

  • 6 oz burrata cheese
  • 4 Fresh peaches
  • 4 oz prosciutto (thinly Sliced)
  • 3 cups arugula
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper fresh cracked
  • 1 baguette (sliced and toasted)

How to Make Burrata and Prosciutto Wrapped Peaches

  1. Slice peaches in half and remove the pit. Then cut each peach into about 8 slices. Wrap each slice with a 1/2 slice of prosciutto.
  2. Set grill temperature to about 400-450 degrees F. Grill the peaches fpr about 2 minutes per side just until the prosciutto tightens up around the sliced peach.
  3. Once the peaches are grilled set them aside and grill your crustini brushed with olive oil until golden.
  4. Just before serving toss peppery arugula in a bowl with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, slat and pepper. Spead the arugula out on a large plate and place burrata in the center then arange your grilled prosciutto wrapped peaches and crustini around the cheese.

Helpful Tips

How to wrap the peaches?

  • The prosciutto should stick to itself
  • If it doesn’t, use a toothpick. Just don’t stick it through the other end of the peach

Other ways to eat it or pair it with?

  • On your salad with your favorite salad dressing, lemon juice, Balsamic glaze or a drizzle of honey
  • As a side to a nice meal on the grill
