Get ready to have family, friends, and the neighbor next door asking you for this recipe!

Whether I am thinking about Football Sunday, getting together with family, or making a delicious dip for any occasion, one of the first things that come to mind is buffalo chicken dip.

I am not sure what it is, but it is one of my go-to comfort foods when it comes to creamy dips and for good reason – it NEVER disappoints!

One of the things I love most about this keto buffalo chicken dip is that it is healthier and lighter than traditional buffalo chicken dips, but packs the same flavor and satisfaction.

BONUS: This buffalo chicken dip isn’t overly spicy, but you can always add extra hot sauce to kick it up a notch if you like the heat!

How to Make the Best Keto Buffalo Chicken Dip

Preheat the oven. Preheat oven to Broil

Break up the chicken and add ingredients. In a medium bowl or mixing bowl add 1 can of drained chicken breast along with your celery, jalapeno, scallions, Spicy Dan-O Seasoning, ½ cup shredded cheddar, and 2 tbsp Buffalo Sauce. Break up the chicken breast and stir the ingredients together.

Soften the cream cheese and mayo. Add softened cream cheese and Duke’s Mayo and microwave for 2 minutes.

Buffalo Chicken Dip Tips, Tricks, and Variations

Buffalo Sauce or Hot Sauce: Whether you call is hot sauce, buffalo sauce, or wing sauce, you can use whatever you like, have handy, or prefer. I’m a big fan of sticking with my personal favorites when I’m cooking!

Optional Seasoning: If you are looking to season on your own or add seasoning, consider using paprika, garlic powder, ranch seasoning, and/or classics like salt and black pepper.

Bleu Cheese: If you don’t like blue cheese you can just use cheddar or any other cheese you like. You may also season the top with ranch seasoning or dill.

Cream Cheese: Friendly reminder, DO NOT microwave the wrapping the cream cheese comes in; we don’t want to start any microwave fires!

Cast Iron: If you not have cast iron any oven-safe container works. You can even use microwave-safe pyrex meal prep containers.

Storage: Buffalo chicken dip will last about 5 days in the fridge. You can freeze the dip but you’ll need to let it thaw completely before reheating.

Reheating: Microwave is the best method. You will want to microwave at 75% for 45 seconds at a time until warm. Then you can top it with cheese and broil for a few minutes if you like.

What to Serve with Buffalo Chicken Dip

Keep it Keto or Low Carb:

Looking to keep it healthy? Serve your buffalo dip with a side of celery, carrots, pork rinds, keto tortilla chips, or keto pretzels!

Bring on the Carbs:

If you aren’t keeping it keto or are serving to a crowd and want options, I would recommend serving this dip alongside crowd favorites like baguette slices, tortilla chips, Fritos scoops, and more!

Is there carbs in Buffalo Chicken Dip?

Yes! However, this keto buffalo chicken dip has 1 gram of net carbs per serving. Traditional buffalo chicken dip could have up to or over 3 grams of net carbs per serving, so I consider this a win!

Can you have Dip on a Keto Diet?

Absolutely! There is no reason you can’t kick back and enjoy a party just as much as the next person just because you are making a lifestyle change.

Dips like guacamole and tzatziki are great tasty dip options while following a keto or low carb diet because they can be made keto-friendly and don’t need artificial sweeteners or additaves.
