Ingredients needed to make Smoked Pretzels
Pretzels: You can't make pretzels without pretzels. For this recipe, you will need a 1 lb bag of pretzels or mini pretzels.
Pop of flavor: 1 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce, 2 tsp of BBQ Dry Rub, and 3 tsp of Ranch Seasoning.
Butter: 8 tbsp of melted butter. Butter will act as the binder between flavor and pretzel.
How to make Smoked Pretzels on a Pellet Grill
Heat the grill. Preheat the Pellet Grill to 225 degrees F.
Season the pretzels. In a large bowl toss pretzels with melted butter, Worcestershire, bbq dry rub, and ranch seasoning. Make sure the pretzels are well coated with seasoning then spread out on a sheet pan.
Smoke the pretzels. Smoke the pretzels in the pellet grill at 225 degrees f. for about 1 hour until crispy. Stir the pretzels every 20 minutes to make sure they cook evenly.
Cool pretzels. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. These are great by themselves or with your favorite dips and spreads.
What to serve with Pretzels
Serve up your pretzels on a charcuterie board with parmesan cheese, smooth smoked cream cheese dip, or other smoked cheeses.
How to store leftover Smoked Pretzels
Allow your pretzels to cool and hit room temperature. Once they have, grab an air-tight container. The pretzels can be stored on the counter for about 10-12 days.
Helpful Equipment
Pellet Smoker: Whether you have a brand name Traeger pellet grill or not, pull them out and let's get ready to smoke!
Wood Pellets: I like using a blend. However, you can use fruit woods or hickory chips.
Cookie Sheet: Grab a large baking sheet to season your pretzels and spread them out in a single layer.
