If you are looking for the perfect sauce for just about anything you have to make this Siracha Mayo Spicy Burger Sauce. I came up with this recipe as a dipping sauce for the smoked bacon wrapped onion rings. Now I keep it in the fridge at all times as one of my go to sauces for just about anything.
How to Make a Spicy Burger Sauce
This is the perfect spicy burger sauce for giving your burger or any sandwich a spicy, creamy kick. The siracha, combined with the lime and soy, gives this burger a spicy, umami flavor that can't be beaten. The best part is this sauce literally takes seconds to make, and you can store it in the fridge for up to a month.
What You Need:
Mayonnaise: You can use whatever your favorite store-bought mayo is or make your own if you are feeling fancy. You can also use light mayo to cut some calories off the final recipe.
Sriracha: Since the great boom in popularity years ago, tons of brands have come out with their own Sriracha. They all have similar flavors but can vary in terms of spice level.
Vinegar: I like to use rice vinegar with Asian-inspired recipes, but you may substitute apple cider vinegar or white vinegar with this burger sauce recipe if you don't have any.
Other Ingredients: Garlic, lime, soy sauce, and sesame oil are the additions to this recipe. Though I recommend following the recipe, you can omit any of these ingredients without drastically changing the final product.
Tips and Varriations
- Lower the calories by using light mayonnaise.
- Substitute Tabasco or any other pepper hot sauce if you don't have sriracha.
- Fresh lime juice is best, but you can use lemon juice or a concentrate if it's what you have.
- Store in a squeeze bottle for easy access.
- This Spicy burger sauce is excellent with chicken, fish tacos, appetizers, and pork as well as burgers and sandwiches.
